EIC Pre-Accelerator WIDERA

The EIC Pre-Accelerator is a new funding opportunity under Horizon Europe’s Widening participation and strengthening the European Research Area (WIDERA) programme. With grants ranging from €300,000 to €500,000, it is designed to help early-stage deep tech companies from Widening countries strengthen their technology, business model, and investor readiness. The goal is to prepare them for a successful application to the EIC Accelerator or to attract alternative private or public funding.

This call is open to SMEs developing breakthrough innovations in physical, biological, or digital technologies.

EIC Accelerator

The EIC Accelerator supports breakthrough innovations by startups and SMEs with up to €2.5 million in grants and up to €15 million in equity. It targets high-risk, high-impact deep tech projects ready to scale in Europe and beyond.

With expert coaching and investor access, the program helps you go from prototype to market. Open to companies across all sectors—with a focus on deep tech—the EIC Accelerator supports development, demonstration, market deployment, and scaling activities. Applicants benefit from world-class coaching, mentoring, and access to a network of investors and corporates. Applications are reviewed in a two-step process with several deadlines per year.

I am Monika Dimitrova - an innovation consultant and ecosystem builder passionate about helping technology-driven companies access funding, enter new markets, and grow strategically. With experience spanning EU grant advisory, startup fundraising, and cross-border partnerships, I bring a hands-on, results-driven approach to supporting entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey. Fluent in English, German, Italian, and Bulgarian, I thrive in international, multicultural settings.
